According to Andy Jones, a member of the Best Practices Search
Engine Forums, fraudulent clicks are just another aspect of the
business. "Any of us that use AdWords or any other PPC has to
pay for a certain percentage of fraudulent clicks," he said in a
forum discussion. "I factor it in as a cost of doing business."
Can you believe that? In other words, he's saying, I know the
pay-per-click companies are stealing my money, but it's okay,
because I've considered that fact ahead of ...Read the rest of this entry »

Has anyone else noticed a disturbing pattern in your
pay-per-click advertising campaign, of the same IP addresses
clicking on your ad, spending one or two seconds on your website
and then leaving?
That's called click fraud and it's a major problem among all of
the pay-per-click search engines.
Click fraud is a scheme that takes advantage of online
advertising programs like those offered by Google,
Yahoo/Overture, Findwhat and others. A fraudulent website is set

YOU COULD BE ON THE HOOK!
Did you know that the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) regulations
place responsibility for forgery losses partially on bank
customers, rather than solely on the banks? But in addition to
this exposure, there can be significant expenses and lost time
investigating the crime, not to mention damage to your
credibility and reputation.
Your only defence is to show that you have taken due diligence.
One way to demonstrate this is by implementing careful practices
regarding ...Read the rest of this entry »

It's worthwhile to examine Google's definition of Google
AdSense and Click Fraud , before delving deeper into "AdSense
Fraud" .
Google AdSense fraud is one of the diseases that plague the Ad
Words advertisers. The AdSense program essentially allows
website publishers/owners to sign up with Google, enabling them
to display Google Ads on their sites. These publishers
essentially act as "Google Partners". The ads chosen by the
Google bot for display are contextual and the ads are related to

Just when we thought, we had heard it all about "fraud on the
internet". There are the "fishing" emails, enticing (or more
likely scaring) users into giving up their bank account (or
paypal) information. There is the "multi level marketing"
schemes, the ID thefts, the spyware. The SCAM-THRU-SPAM market
is just huge...and not necessarily limited to financial losses.
Think of those "15 million dollar waiting to be picked up from
that Nigerian bank account" scam. When the gullible follow up
